There are a lot of interesting and important activities have taken place this summer that will have a positive impact on the lives of locals in the Kazbegi region. As an example, an important workshop of the Kazbegi Local Action Group was held in two stages in Kachreti. The first session was dedicated to the creation of the Mayor’s Advisory Council. This group discussed several important subjects, including sectoral involvement and the Rights and Responsibilities of the Advisory Council’s members. The legal framework and sample documents were identified and discussions were held.

During the second session of the workshop, the Kazbegi LAG, along with Nana Nersezashvili, Head of the Adult Education Center of Leliani discussed the organization's strategic choice and action plan, future plans, management, personnel policy, organizational sustainability challenges, and promotion.

There were other key topics discussed, such as the importance of inter-sectoral cooperation and initiatives. These were part of the discussion with representatives of the Kazbegi Municipality.

On August 23, the Kazbegi Local Action Group was hosted by the community organization “Leli” which is located in the village of Leliani, Lagodekhi Municipality, where Kazbegi LAG members learned about community fundraising activities and infrastructure.

The Leliani Adult Education Center was established in 2006 and is providing educational, sports, cultural and cognitive activities. The main focus of the organization is community development and the promotion of inter-community relations.
