The Czech non-profit organization “People in Need” (PIN) is the largest non-governmental organization in Central and Eastern Europe, which has implemented a variety of projects in 37 countries over the last 25 years.

PIN has been operating in Georgia since 2006. Through its activities, the organization seeks to support the development of agriculture and civil society as well as to protect human rights and promote democratic values.

In June 2018, PIN launched a project with support of the Czech Development Agency - (CzDA) – “Sustainable Development of Beekeeping in Georgia”, which aims to support increase in volume and quality of apiculture products by means of introducing advanced practices and methods in production and processing, ultimately leading to increase in productivity and value of quality beekeeping products.

The project offers a unique opportunity to small and medium-scale beekeepers, who have in ownership up to 40 beehives, to attend theoretical and practical 7-day training course at the enterprises of region-based successful beekeepers, using beekeeping manual developed by world-renowned specialists. After successful completion of the training course, the participants will have a chance to take part in the grant call, which will be announced in June of the current year.

Interested small and medium scale beekeepers are invited to attend the information/introduction meetings, where the project activities, information related to the training course and technical assistance will be provided in details; as well all raised questions will be fully answered;
